CricketEQ Performance Assessment

Discover your game. Identify the gap. Build a clearer pathway forward.

You may look confident in the nets but struggle to reproduce that same freedom in matches. You may be working hard without knowing what to prioritize. You may have received so much technical advice that you are no longer sure what your natural game looks like.

The CricketEQ Performance Assessment helps you take a step back and understand the bigger picture.

Rather than focusing only on visible mistakes, the assessment explores the whole cricketer: how you think, how you move, how you solve problems, and how your skills hold up when the pressure increases.

The aim is not to force you into one perfect technique.

The aim is to help you discover your game, understand what may be limiting your performance, and identify the clearest priorities for your next stage of development.

The gap is not always where you think it is.

When performances are inconsistent, the first response is often to change technique. Sometimes that is necessary. But the visible mistake is not always the real problem.

A technical issue may be linked to uncertainty about your options. A poor decision may come from a lack of tactical clarity. A movement pattern may break down when you feel rushed. A player may train well but struggle to trust their game when the match situation becomes uncomfortable.

Cricket performance is shaped by the interaction between your skills, your body, your thinking, and the demands of the moment.

The CricketEQ Performance Assessment helps you understand those connections before deciding what to work on next.

What is the CricketEQ Performance Assessment?

The CricketEQ Performance Assessment is an online review and consultation designed to give you a clearer picture of your current game.

It helps answer four important questions:

  • What are your current strengths?
  • Where is the gap between your practice and match performances?
  • What may be limiting you when pressure increases?
  • What should you prioritize during your next 12 weeks of development?

You will receive a personalized CricketEQ Player Map that brings your key insights together in one place.

This becomes the starting point for a more focused and intentional development pathway.

The three areas we explore.

What you will receive.

At the end of the assessment, you will receive your personalized CricketEQ Player Map.

Your Player Map will identify:

  • Your current strengths
  • The areas that appear to be limiting your performance
  • Your natural movement preferences
  • Your key MindEQ, BodyEQ, and SkillsEQ insights
  • Your most important development priorities
  • A clearer focus for your next 12 weeks of training

You will leave with a better understanding of your game and a more focused pathway forward.

How the assessment works.

Step 1: Complete your player intake

You will complete an online questionnaire before the consultation.

This helps us understand your background, current goals, training environment, recent performances, and the areas where you feel most uncertain.

Step 2: Submit your video footage

You will submit relevant training or match footage for review.

The footage helps us identify patterns that may not be obvious from results alone.

Step 3: Join your online consultation

You will take part in a 75-minute online CricketEQ Performance Assessment with Jody Martins.

During the session, we will explore your game across MindEQ, BodyEQ, and SkillsEQ.

Step 4: Receive your CricketEQ Player Map

After the consultation, your key insights and priorities will be summarized into a clear Player Map.

Step 5: Choose your next step

You may use the assessment as a stand-alone review or continue into the CricketEQ Build Your Range 12-week remote coaching program.

Who is the assessment for?

The CricketEQ Performance Assessment is designed for committed cricketers who want a clearer understanding of their game.

It may be especially helpful when:

  • Your training performances are not transferring into matches.
  • You feel unsure about what to prioritize.
  • Conflicting advice has left you confused.
  • Certain match situations repeatedly expose gaps in your game.
  • You want to understand your strengths more clearly.
  • You want to become more adaptable.
  • Pressure causes hesitation or doubt.
  • You want a focused pathway for your next stage of development.

The assessment can also help parents who want a clearer picture of what their child needs, rather than simply adding more sessions or more technical advice.

This is not just a technique audit.

The assessment may identify technical adjustments, but CricketEQ does not begin with the assumption that every problem must be solved by changing technique.

Your game is shaped by more than the position of your feet, your head, or your hands.

CricketEQ takes a wider view.

We look at the interaction between your technique, your tactical choices, your movement preferences, your physical readiness, and your ability to respond when the game places you under pressure.

The goal is not to create a perfect-looking cricketer.

The goal is to help you build a game that works when it matters.
